Bio
Mark Crane is Executive Director of ENTERPRISECORP, the division of
Greater Louisville Inc. focusing on fast-growth entrepreneurship. He
is a Louisville native and graduated with Highest Distinction in
Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Mark began his professional career in the IT department at PNC Bank,
then joined The Cobb Group - one of Louisville’s most storied
entrepreneurial successes. During Mark’s ten years with The Cobb
Group (which founder Doug Cobb sold to Ziff-Davis in 1991), he served
as Product Manager, VP of Marketing, and eventually Publisher. Mark
was Cobb’s leading deal-maker with strategic partners like
Microsoft, Apple, and Sun.

In January of 1998, Mark rejoined Doug Cobb at Greater Louisville Inc.
Mark’s ENTERPRISECORP team works directly with entrepreneurs and
business owners to help those clients fund and run their companies. In
the past five years, Mark and his team have helped over 70 clients
secure well over $72 Million in growth capital.

In addition to his role with ENTERPRISECORP, Mark serves as Founder
and Managing Director of the Enterprise Angels (Louisville’s
largest Angel Investor group). He also serves as Chairman of the
Venture Club of Louisville, and is on the Board of Advisors of
Metacyte Business Labs and Purdue’s Tech Centers. He is married to Nita and has two boys - Adam and Wesley.
